Karl wins it in 18:46 for his 4th 100-mile ultra win in 2009. He was excited to get back on the Appalachian Trail and ONLY have to run 100 miles of it. Good Work Speedgoat!

Larry currently completed a 1,500 mile road trip from SLC to Lake Tahoe to Sausalito overlooking the San Fransisco Bay.  He rode every day including Hole in the Ground and Flume trail near Lake Tahoe.  Marin Headlands provided a great ride and it was good fun riding over the Golden Gate Bridge in a light fog chasing a rodie.  4 days, 74 miles and only 3,500 vertical of climbing !

MICHAEL STAROPOLI finishes 17th in his youthful 20-24 age group at 1:02:40. In his first nationals event. He missed qualifing for Worlds by seconds….A few tweaks and he’ll be there next year. Nice job Mike! Pictures to follow

Larry in Wild Flowers at SnowbirdThe wild flowers in the Utah mountains are going crazy right now. I have run the past several days in both Cottonwood Canyons and the variety is stunning! Makes the work much easier with an art show from Mother Nature all around.

On May 3rd, some of Team Sherpa’s own competed in the Greenwich Cup Biathlon! It was a cool and cloudy Sunday morning, but over 250 racers showed up for the event!

Check out the results for Jean Paul Desrosiers (25th overall), Michael Staropoli (26th overall), and Beau Greer (86th overall)!

Both Michael and Beau set personal records on that Sunday morning. In speaking with Mike, he gave great thanks to Keith, his coach, and Jean for keeping him in shape for the event! He mentioned that Jean beat him by 25 seconds, but will not be so lucky next time!

Congratulations to all!

There were many members of Team Sherpa out on Sunday for the Minute Man Road Race at Compo Beach in Westport, CT. There was something for everyone, a kids fun run, a 5k and a 10k race. It was unusually hot but everyone finished and all had great results consdering the heat and lack of any shade (since there are no leaves on the trees yet!. To learn more about the race:
